About us

Adele Hydrogen empowers green hydrogen producers to reduce production costs by lowering energy consumption and increasing hydrogen output. Our mission is clear: scale green hydrogen by maximizing electrolyzer efficiency and minimizing production costs. Our breakthrough technology – the Pathfinder Electrodes – delivers the lowest Levelized Cost of Hydrogen (LCOH) on the market, backed by rigorous testing and real-world performance data.

We are a team of scientists, engineers, and entrepreneurs with over 50 years of combined experience in hydrogen innovation and deeptech development. Founded in 2023 following an incubation phase, Adele Hydrogen has been recognized as a leading French Deeptech by Bpifrance and is a proud member of the H2UB community, connecting Europe’s top hydrogen innovators.

We are supported by private European investors with extensive experience in hydrogen and cleantech, as well as Bpifrance. Their backing powers our vision to lead the transition to cost-effective green hydrogen in Europe and beyond.

Adele Hydrogen collaborates with leading alkaline electrolyzer OEMs, top research centers, and Engineering & Procurement Companies (EPCs) to accelerate the development of green hydrogen. Our strategic partnerships are strengthened by joint research with LEPMI – France’s leading electrochemical laboratory at University Grenoble Alpes – leveraging world-class expertise and advanced instrumentation to shape the future of green hydrogen.

Adele Hydrogen operates a state-of-the-art laboratory at Axel’One, the premier chemical research facility on the Campus LyonTech-la Doua, driving cutting-edge development and rapid prototyping. We are also advancing joint research with LEPMI – France’s leading electrochemical laboratory at University Grenoble Alpes – leveraging world-class expertise and advanced instrumentation to shape the future of green hydrogen.

We are building our production facility – the Adele Hydrogen Alpha Line – in Lyon, set to launch in LH 2026.

Once operational, the Alpha Line will produce hundreds of MW of alkaline electrodes per year at globally competitive prices. The Alpha line will be the blueprint for scaled up installations at client’s sites from 2027 onwards.
